Birthday Number — The Innate Gift Your Child Carries
Among the 5 core indices, the Birthday Number is the simplest yet most easily overlooked. It's the special talent the child carries from the moment of birth — no learning needed, no striving needed, simply "built in".
Calculation
The Birthday Number is just the day of the month (1-31), then reduced:
- Days 1-9: keep as is.
- Days 10-31: add the digits. Except days 11, 22 — preserved (master numbers).
Examples:
- Born on the 5th → Birthday = 5
- Born on the 15th → 1+5 = 6
- Born on the 11th → 11 (master, no reduction)
- Born on the 22nd → 22 (master)
- Born on the 29th → 2+9 = 11 → 11 (master reached, stop)
- Born on the 31st → 3+1 = 4

- Child born 22/03/2024: LP = 6, Birthday = 22 (master) → Their life focuses on family (LP 6) but carries major architectural capability (Birthday 22). May create a "home" the size of a family enterprise, or large-scale community charity.
Role in naming
The Birthday Number is fixed — unchangeable. But MiKiName uses it in the scoring formula with weight ×2 (second-highest after Expression vs Life Path):
Score = ... + 2 × harmony(Expression, Birthday) + ...
Reason: Birthday reflects the concrete talent the child will display early. A name with Expression harmonizing Birthday helps the child express the gift rather than suppress it.
Example: A child with Birthday 3 (born artist) — choosing a name with Expression 3, 5, 6, or 9 will "nurture" this gift. Choosing Expression 4 (discipline) — the artistic gift may be suppressed because the name pushes the child into a "must be serious" lifestyle.
Why the 2 master Birthday numbers matter
Of the 31 days of the month, only the 11th and 22nd are master numbers. Babies born on these two days carry:
Day 11:
- Extremely strong intuition from a young age — may "know" that mom is sad without her saying so.
- Sensitive to environmental energy — easily overwhelmed in crowded places.
- May speak of "strange dreams", "premonitions". Parents should not dismiss them.
Day 22:
- Big vision from early age — at 5 already wants to "build a house for the cat", "be teacher for the school".
- Skillful hands + organized mind — likes assembling complex Lego.
- Naturally high responsibility — often the "elder sibling" of the friend group.
Parents whose child was born on the 11th or 22nd should choose a name with non-master Expression — so the child has a "simple foundation" balancing the complexity of the master Birthday.
When does Birthday contradict Life Path?
Big contradictions are rare — because Birthday is a subset of Life Path (LP includes the day). But there are cases:
- LP 1 + Birthday 2: Born to lead (LP 1) but the innate gift is cooperation (Birthday 2). They will be a "facilitator" type of leader — not a "warrior".
- LP 7 + Birthday 8: Introverted life (LP 7) but hands have "business instinct" (Birthday 8). May become a consultant / scientist who runs a business — a quiet billionaire.
